The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed design research, digital technology, and interdisciplinary innovation. Recognizing the need for international collaboration in addressing increasingly complex design challenges, Jiangsu University organized the 6th International Conference on Innovative Design and Digital Technology (ICIDDT 2026) under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Complex System Design. The conference served as an international academic platform for researchers, scholars, practitioners, and postgraduate students to exchange knowledge, present innovative research findings, and establish collaborative partnerships in the fields of intelligent design, digital transformation, and sustainable innovation. The conference was attended by distinguished professors, researchers, practitioners, government representatives, and postgraduate students from universities and research institutions across Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America. Participating institutions included Jiangsu University, Purdue University (USA), City University of Hong Kong, Seoul National University, Korea University, Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), RMIT University (Australia), Bangkok University, National University of Civil Engineering (Indonesia), Institut Sains dan Teknologi Nasional Indonesia, and many other international organizations. The hybrid format enabled hundreds of participants from different countries to engage in both face-to-face and online academic discussions.
